First and foremost, THANK YOU for considering the South Georgia Marching Band Championships as a contest for your marching band program. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

It is our goal to set the standard for marching band contests within the state of Georgia and are committed to providing our participating directors, staff, band members and spectators the best experience possible. We are dedicated to creating a fantastic judging panel of experts who will assess bands independently and rank them correctly.  In addition, the South Georgia Marching Band Championships are scored using the Georgia Music Educator's Association sheets and caption system.
